Mental Health Counselor

(He/His/Him)

Originally from Florida, I came to Massachusetts in 2013. I lived at and worked for a holistic wellness center before deciding to go back to school for mental health counseling. I worked as a counselor at a substance abuse treatment center while earning my degree. Here, I supported clients using Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and experiential outdoor education. I am passionately drawn toward nature and experiential practices. Also, my background in yoga training allows me to stay grounded both in my body and with the land.

As part of my internship, I worked with young children in transitional assistance for the Massachusetts PALLS program. I’m a mixed-race Black, QTBIPOC therapist and I specialize in helping folks from the BIPOC and LGBTQAIP2S+ communities process and heal through trauma. I’ve worked with folks struggling with family dynamics, impulsivity, anxiety, depression, anger, suicidality, substance abuse, and a host of other things that grow from living in a world largely beyond our control.

I know about running from ghosts and building walls. I know about hiding in friends and hiding from them as well. I also know how comforting numbness can be and how dangerous that is. People tend to seek therapy from a mix of curiosity, desperation and hope a few of the most potent human ingredients. If this sounds familiar to you, then I’d love to see how we may work together.
