MA, MSW, LICSW, Psychotherapist

(She/Her/Hers)

My work with clients starts from the belief that we all have the capacity for transformation and greater purpose in our lives. Therapy provides a healing context in which we can increase our access to inner guidance by becoming more aligned with a sense of meaningfulness and fulfillment. We all have moments of being stuck, often because of difficult events from the past or unhelpful ways of seeing blocking us in the present. In my experience, being seen and heard in a compassionate space of inquiry supports us in finding ways to make our lives more workable. We’re able to attune to our deepest values and unhook from thoughts and feelings that limit our capacity to live full lives from a place of deeper self-wisdom.

As a therapist, I take an integrative approach that draws on relational psychodynamic, somatic and ACT frameworks as well as being influenced by IFS, narrative therapy, trauma theory, motivational interviewing and Focusing. Sessions with me can involve deep listening and inquiry as well as experiential mindfulness exercises and exploration of embodied emotions and experiences.

I have supported people with grief, loss and life transition; healing from childhood trauma; addressing relationship struggles; self-esteem issues; and relieving anxiety and depression. My clinical experience includes working with survivors of emotional, physical and sexual abuse as well as intimate partner violence and sexual assault. My values include offering a safe and welcoming space for people of color, queer folks, and trans people.

My professional background includes coaching and teaching in the contexts of university teaching and theatre. I’ve maintained a regular yoga and meditation practice for over 25 years and have spent more than a year in intensive meditation retreat as well as having practiced in various nature and soul-based spiritual traditions. I am also able to offer support for clients interested in integrating spiritual practice with therapeutic growth.
